Aaron Hines

Percussion Caption Head & Arranger

 

Aaron Hines is from the Sacramento area, where he attended Sacramento High School and was a part of the percussion section all four years.  After high school, Aaron was a member of the California State University, Sacramento Winter Percussion Ensemble from 1997-2001.

Aaron's teaching experience began the summer after he graduated from Sacramento High School.  Since that time, he has taught, arranged and designed for numerous schools, ranging from the middle school to the collegiate level.  He has been a clinician throughout California, Nevada and Arizona.  In addition, he founded his own Percussion Ensemble (RIPE) in 2002.  Over their four-year existence, RIPE hosted numerous percussion-based events such as Individual and Ensemble Festivals and Percussion Concerts.  The prevailing purpose of these was the growth and development of the percussion arts in the area.  Under the creative and administrative direction of Aaron, RIPE also found great success in the Indoor Percussion activity.  They competed at the WGI World Championships in 2004 (Bronze Medalist in PIA) and 2005 (Finalist in PIA).

Currently, Aaron serves as a staff composer for Gary P. Gilroy Publications, Inc. and is the Percussion Caption Head and Arranger for the University of Nevada, Reno and Spanish Springs High School in Sparks, NV.  Aaron is also the President and Founder of eNVision Performing Arts, Inc.  Aaron is the Director and Lead Artist for EDGE! 2008.

Kim Atkins

Color Guard Caption Head

 

Kim Atkins is from Reno NV where she attended Sparks High School and graduated from Spanish Springs High School.  Kim was a member of the Guard for four years and was the Guard Captain from Fall 2000 - Winter 2003.  Kim then attended the University of Nevada, Reno and was a member of their Fall Guard program from 2003-2005 and was the Captain in 2004.

Kim was also a part of the UNR Winter Guard in 2004 followed by the Summit Winter Guard in 2006 and 2007 where she spun Flag, Rifle, and Saber.  Kim has also taken dance classes at TMCC and UNR and performed in the Fall and Spring Dance Concerts.

In 2003, Kim started teaching at Spanish Springs High School where she was the Rifle Tech.  Kim then helped write their Winter Guard show in 2004 and eventually became the Color Guard Caption Head, Choreographer and Designer in the fall of 2005 and has been there since.  

Kim serves on the board for eNVision Performing Arts and is the Movement Tech. & Choreographer for eNVision Percussion Theatre.  She is also a Choreographer and Lead Artist for EDGE! 2008.

 

Chris Chang

Visual Caption Head

 

Chris Chang originates from the SF bay area.  He graduated from Armijo High School (Fairfield, CA) in 1998.  He was a member of his high school marching band and percussion unit all four years.  In 1998-1999 Chris was a member of the Blue Devils 'B' Drum and Bugle Corp.  After the 1999 tour he joined Allegiance Elite and marched their summer tour.  As a member of the 1998 'B' Corps, Chris had the opportunity to participate in the World Marching Festival in Kanagawa, Japan.  In 2000-2001 Chris became a member of the World Champion Blue Devils.  As a member of the Blue Devils Chris performed and competed in many international and national events.  Chris was a member of the University  of Nevada Wolf Pack Marching Band from 1998-2000 and Drum Major for the organization in 2001.  At the University Chris was also a part of their indoor percussion ensemble in 2000.  In 1999 Chris began teaching Marching at Reno High School.  Chris has also taught and consulted for many other programs including North Valleys High School, Hug High School, Sparks High School, Vallejo High School and Summit Youth Arts.  Currently, Chris serves on the board for eNVision Percussion Theatre.  Chris is also Designer and Lead Artist for EDGE! 2008.
